Discover What’s New in Our
Parent & Me Summer Program
Hello Families,
Discovery School’s Parent & Me Summer Program begins the week of June 23 with a full schedule of interactive, development-focused sessions for babies and toddlers.
With options across weekday mornings and afternoons, families can choose the rhythm that works best. Our age-specific sessions include:

Babies 3–6 Months: Tuesdays @ 9:30–11:00 AM

Babies 6–12 Months: Thursdays @ 10:00–11:30 AM

Toddlers 12–24 Months: Multiple weekday mornings and afternoons

Toddlers in the Garden: Fridays @ 9:30–11:00 AM
Activities include art and sensory play, music, water exploration, farm visits, and engaging discussions for parents. All are led by our thoughtful and energetic Teacher Brenda.
Program runs through mid-August. Enroll now to secure your preferred session.

Celebrate Joyful Learning at Discovery School’s Parent & Me Open House
Parents, we invite you to experience a magical morning with your little ones at Discovery School's Parent & Me Open House on May 17 from 9:30-11:00 AM. This special event is designed to inspire a love of learning, build connections, and showcase the vibrant experiences that await families with children aged three to twenty-four months.
At Discovery, every moment is an opportunity for joyful exploration.
During the Open House, families will:
Experience Art and Sensory Play: Children and parents will explore color, texture, and materials in a hands-on space designed for creative expression and early learning.
Visit Our Beloved Farm: Meet our friendly farm animals — including sheep, goats, pigs, horses, bunnies, and tortoises — and foster empathy, wonder, and early science discovery.
Move to the Music: Join in lively music and movement sessions that encourage rhythm, balance, and cognitive skills, all through the joy of song and dance.
Enjoy Playtime: Watch your little one's imagination blossom during unstructured playtime in our thoughtfully designed creative spaces.
Throughout the morning, Teacher Brenda — known for her warm, playful approach to early childhood education — will guide families through each activity. Her focus on holistic development through hands-on experiences will help you see how Discovery School nurtures every child's unique potential.
As part of our tradition of serving San Fernando Valley families for fifty years, Discovery School remains dedicated to creating a supportive, developmentally rich environment. The Open House is a chance to meet our wonderful teaching team and a perfect opportunity to learn more about our Summer Parent & Me Classes.

Highlights from Our Parent & Me Open House
Our Parent & Me Open House was filled with bright smiles, warm laughter, and meaningful moments of connection. Families from across our Discovery community came together to explore, learn, and share the magic of joyful discovery.
The morning began with a vibrant Art and Sensory Play experience, where families explored hands-on activities using paints, textures, and open-ended materials that spark creativity.
The energy continued with Music & Movement sessions led by Teacher Brenda, where little ones danced, swayed, and sang, building coordination and creating priceless memories with their parents. We wrapped up the morning with Creative Playtime, offering children the freedom to explore our play spaces and make new friends.
We are grateful to every family who shared this special day with us. Your presence truly embodied the spirit of Discovery — nurturing bonds, fostering exploration, and celebrating the joy of learning together.
