A blood drive flyer from Children's Hospital Los Angeles featuring a smiling young girl in a hospital gown. Text reads: "1 pint of blood can save up to 2 of our patients' lives." The flyer promotes a blood drive hosted by Discovery School on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 8:30AM to 2:45PM at 18719 Topham St., Tarzana, 91335. Donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh 110+ lbs, and bring a valid photo ID. Schedule an appointment at CHLAdonateblood.org or call 323-361-2441.

Last week , Discovery School's parking lot was home to something bigger than all of us.

The Children's Hospital of Los Angeles (CHLA) bloodmobile came to our campus, and our community showed up to donate. Blood donations to CHLA directly support the children in their care, children who need transfusions and treatments that simply cannot happen without a steady supply of donated blood.

This blood drive is one of many community service initiatives our school participates in throughout the year, and it reflects something we believe deeply: that caring for our community extends beyond these walls. Our children are watching. They see what we do, and they learn from it.

Thank you to every Discovery School family who gave their time and blood today. Your generosity will reach children you'll never meet, and it will matter more than you know.
