A smiling child outdoors wears a tie-dye shirt, a rainbow pom-pom headband, and colorful paper chain necklaces while posing with an outstretched arm; other children and adults in similarly bright outfits are blurred in the background.

Every spring, there is a morning at Discovery School that feels like it was made for the season. It's the Spring Parade, and if you haven't witnessed it before, this Friday is the year to change that.

What Is the Spring Parade?

Our Spring Parade is an annual tradition where every class at Discovery School comes outside and marches together in the spring costumes they've created in their own classrooms. The costumes are handmade, unique to each classroom, and always delightful. It's a visual celebration of everything our children have been working on and imagining since spring arrived.

When and Where

The parade begins at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 27th. Families are welcome to come and find a great spot to watch the parade route as each class comes through. There is nothing you need to bring or do ahead of time. Just show up and enjoy the moment.

A Meaningful Goodbye to the Season

The Spring Parade also marks the start of Spring Break. After the parade, school will close at 12:00 PM, so families can take their little ones home and head into the break together. It's a lovely, celebratory way to close out the stretch of school before the holiday.

At Discovery School, traditions like the Spring Parade matter because they give our children something to look forward to, something that belongs to them as part of the Discovery community. We hope to see you there on Friday morning.
