On June 10, Discovery School is throwing a party for the people who deserve it most: our children.

Kidchella is our end-of-year celebration concert, and this year, performer Jason Mesches is joining us to put on a live show. It is designed to feel like a children's festival: full of music, movement, and the energy of a room full of kids who are happy, together, and celebrating.

The Power of Music in Early Childhood

Music has always been a meaningful part of how young children learn and grow. It supports language development, builds memory, encourages movement, and creates a shared emotional experience that connects children to one another. A live performance takes all of that and amplifies it.

When children experience live music together, they are not just listening. They are reacting, moving, laughing, and feeling something collectively. That shared experience is one of the most powerful things a school community can offer.

A Celebration of This Year

Kidchella is also a way of honoring everything this school year has held. The friendships that formed, the skills that grew, the moments of bravery and curiosity and connection. Our children have done a lot this year, and they deserve to feel celebrated.

Jason Mesches brings warmth, humor, and an incredible ability to connect with young audiences. Our children are going to love every minute.

Kidchella takes place on June 10 during regular school hours. No need to do anything differently; just send your child ready to celebrate.
